2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Old things: them of old (previous moral and spiritual condition)

2 Corinthians 5:18 KJV

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Verse 18: reconciliation: to restore to (the divine) favor

1 John 5:1 KJV

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Whosoever: (Greek) All, any, every, the whole.

Believeth: (Greek) to have faith in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing. That is, credit; by implication to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ) To believe or be a believer, to commit (to trust), put in trust with.

1 John 5:4 KJV

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Whatsoever: (Greek) allany, every, the whole:– all (manner of, means) alway (-s),

any (one),  every (one, way), as many as, , whatsoever, whole, whosoever.

Overcometh: (Greek) to subdue, conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory.

1 John 5:1 AMP

EVERYONE WHO believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born-again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring).

1 John 5:4 AMP

For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.

As we have received Jesus into our heart and let Him be Lord of our life, we have become victorious, we have become overcomers, just by receiving Him as our Lord and Savior.

With so many deceptions in the world, how do we know the way or the truth?

John 14:5-7 KJV

5  Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No Man: not even one (man, woman or thing) that is none, not (any, at all)

7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

How does a person know the Father? Through Jesus.

Acts 2:21 KJV

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

To call on: is to entitle; by implication to invoke (for aid, worship, testimony, decision)

Romans 10:8-13 KJV

8  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

  • Romans 10:9 AMPBecause if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Shall call upon is to: entitle; by implication to invoke (for aid, worship, testimony, decision)

1 John 1:9 KJV

9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Unrighteousness:(legal) injustice (properly the quality, by implication the act); moral wrongfulness (of charater, life or act): – iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong.

Receiving Jesus into our heart, brings us back to the place to where we were supposed to be in the beginning of time of the perfect image of God by the spirit.

Genesis 1:26 KJV

26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

We are God’s own

Ephesians 2:10 KJV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10 AMP

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

God has predestined (planned beforehand) for us to take the path He has already planned ahead of time and as we are obedient to Him, He will guide us into living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live.
