Jeremiah 29:11-13 (KJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (MSG)
11 I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
12 “When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.
13 “When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. “Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else,
God has great plans for us. His plan for us is BIGGER and exceeds our plans. To know His plan we need to seek Him through prayer and His Word.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33 (AMPC – The Amplified Bible Classic)
But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
As we seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right)He will the Holy Spirit will begin to reveal God’s plan for us.
God Wants Us to Call Unto Him and No Other Source
Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC – The Amplified Bible)
Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).
God is wanting us to come to Him in prayer, He’s ready to show us great and mighty things we don’t know of yet.
God’s Plan For Us Is To Do Greater Works
John 14:12 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
As we accept the plan that God has for us and step out in faith to do it, we are going to do greater works (more works), because we have the Holy Spirit working in us and through us just as He did through Jesus to accomplish the plans God has for us to accomplish.
Jesus Only Said What He heard His Father Speak!
John 12:49-50 (KJV)
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Just as God gave Jesus the words to speak and worked through Him by His Spirit, He will give us the words to speak and work through us! As vitally important as it was for Jesus to be obedient to the Father, it is vitally important for us to be obedient to the Father. As we obey His command and do what He says to do, He watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).
